Be the Star!

Stories are always told of persons following their dreams no matter the obstacles. Defying all challenges and pursuing their passions. These 4 aspiring professionals are real examples of how following your dreams despite all odds can lead to great happiness. There was a wave of emotions on August 25th at Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Center when the winners of the 2018 Caribbean Rising Stars in Beauty Competition were announced, After a long grueling session, Mr. Renaldo Thomas ( Barbering), Ms. Ashley Bootman (Nails), Ms. Shonnette Hoyte ( Hair) and Ms. Ashley Bryan (Make Up) were crowned victorious over their competitors. As they collected their prizes which included salon equipment from # Beauty Supply, Colleens and Unicomer and money vouchers from Fund Access and Barbados Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union, tears of happiness flowed. We welcome these 4 with open arms into the CDI family as they have enrolled in our Cosmetology and Barbering Programme for academic year 2018/2019 as educational scholarships were the highlights of their prizes. The Caribbean Rising Stars in Beauty competition 2019 will be bigger and better so make sure that you are following your passion despite all odds because next year this could be you !
